Allow image pasting (Ctrl+V) in chat conversations
J
Jordy Vizuete
It would be helpful to paste images directly into chat using Ctrl+V, instead of only uploading files. This would speed up sharing screenshots and visual information with team members and clients.

Enable Inline Image Support (Paste & Display in Conversation Inbox)
R
Rick Timmermans
Currently, the HighLevel Conversation Inbox does not support pasting images (via Ctrl+V) or properly rendering inline images from incoming emails. Instead, users are required to manually upload images as attachments, and inline images in received emails often fail to display, even though they are visible in standard email clients (e.g., Outlook, Gmail).
Problem:
- Agents cannot quickly paste screenshots or copied images into conversations, which slows down response times and makes communication less efficient.
- Inline images from clients (base64 or CID embedded) are not displayed, causing incomplete context in customer conversations and requiring agents to open the same email in Outlook/Gmail to see the missing visuals.
Proposed Solution:
- Add support for inline image pasting (Ctrl+V or drag-and-drop) directly into the Conversation Inbox composer.
- Ensure the Conversation Inbox can render and display inline images from incoming emails (base64 / CID attachments).
- Ideally, allow both inline display and attachment download for full transparency.
Impact:
- Faster communication workflows (especially for teams sharing screenshots or quick visual updates).
- Improved customer experience by showing complete emails directly in HighLevel without needing to switch to external email clients.
- Greater adoption of the Conversation Inbox as a true all-in-one communication hub.
Priority: High
This impacts day-to-day usability and efficiency for many agencies and businesses using the Inbox as their primary communication tool.

Paste in images with needing to save and upload the file

Should be able to paste an image into the chat without having to save it somewhere and then upload it or send a share link. Lots of chats have this functionality, not sure why ours doesn't!

Copy paste image enhancement

Currently, neither the GHL app nor the browser version allows me to copy and paste an image directly into the conversation. For example, when I copy an image from my documents folder and try to paste it here, it doesn’t work — the only option is to manually attach it using the “attach files” menu.
It would be great if the copy–paste function for images could be supported in future updates, as it would make uploading visuals much faster and more intuitive.

Copy and Paste Images (jpeg, png, etc.) into conversations (SMS or Email) WITHOUT having to add as an attachment.

It would be so much easier if I can just copy an image to my clipboard and paste it in the body of the conversation, instead of having to save the image file to my computer and adding it as an attachment.
Very similar to copying and pasting a text, but just allow the paste for an image as well.
This is already possible on other platforms such as ringcentral or dialpad, and obviously on your mobile phone.

Our team deals with this constantly. Having to save screenshots just to send them in SMS conversations kills the flow completely when you're trying to help clients quickly.

+1 on this.
This is especially critical for WhatsApp API users.
During live conversations inside the 24h window, agents constantly need to send screenshots, references, proofs or images copied from the browser.
Not being able to paste images directly (Ctrl+V) slows down sales conversations and increases friction unnecessarily.
This works perfectly in WhatsApp Web, Slack and other chat tools.
Bringing this to GHL Conversations would significantly improve agent productivity.

This is one of the biggest issues I have with HL. I hate this. My clients hate this...
I'm sad to see this hasn't been implemented yet.
I'd like to see it in: SMS, blogs, social posts, emails, etc

Only 5 likes for this feature? This should be 5.000!!!
Have to save an image an then attach to a WhatsApp or SMS conversation is very annoying. Our clients are asking for it and don't understand why this CRM works this way. Never seen in the market since 2005.
