Make some channels premium/paid for

If I have a group of 50 people, and one channel is for the 10 people who have VIP access to information, I would like to do that by adding a channel called "#VIP" so that channel becomes locked to everyone else except the VIPs, instead of making two separate groups.

Community Membership Tiers

Having the ability to have channels & features locked based on community access levels/tiers.
Example
Free - $0
- No chat feature
- Just 1 Channel
start - $x
- Chat Unlocked
- free channel plus 2 new channeles unlocked
Grow - $xx
- Chat unlocked
- Free channel unlocked
- All Channels Unlocked
- Access To Courses Included
We can gate access to channels & features inside the platform based on which level the member is in.
Also we can add access to our courses on an as needed basis based on membership levels as well.

I Have a free community and I would like the ability to have an option where I have an inner circle discussion that can only be accessed by me giving access to the discussion.
That way it creates a natural upsell inside the community itself. I have a various amount of free courses I offer, and then some paid. If they buy the paid courses they get access to the inner circle - as an example.
Very similar to how Circle does it. The only thing missing in circle is the gamification of the discussions. What Circle gets right is the ability to have access to what they've opted into but also be able to see what else is in your arsenal.
This way it builds up a community faster, because its free to opt into, but also gives a sense of togetherness for those who have the higher courses.
And those with the higher courses can help out in the discussions with those you are only in the free community.

In this context, it would also be helpful to have more options when pricing group subscriptions. In this way, for example, we can offer existing customers group membership at a lower price. The sales process directly on the group side is currently still very underdeveloped, and paid groups are THE big topic of the future.

I thought it already does this??

Enoch Leffingwell, Private channels (with the workflow action Add to Private Channel) are hidden, people who aren't members cannot see that they are missing something. The Premium channel would have an upsell effect through visibility.

Keith Besherse I realize the private channels work in the way you're describing. I'd LOVE the ability to toggle on and off visibility for private channels. However I didn't catch that was what the original poster was requesting in their feature request. But I'd love what you're describing for sure.

Really need this, and courses should only be available to those who have access to certain chanels too - but people in the free group should be able to see paid groups and courses as locked

Also, if we can the capability to be able to turn off or turn on the word "free" or "paid" since we have users that don't want to show that wording at all to everyone
