When a gift card is purchased, it would be extremely helpful to add an email verification/confirmation step for both:

the purchaser’s email, and

the recipient’s email.

If either email is misspelled, there’s currently no reliable way for the customer to recover or access the gift card code, which creates unnecessary support issues and a poor customer experience. Even a simple “confirm email” field (entered twice) for both addresses would solve this.
