Feedback on the Current Blog Site in GHL
The current blog site setup within GHL feels overly complicated and not user-friendly. Some specific issues include:
Complexity in Posting Blogs: Adding a blog post involves navigating multiple settings for SEO, formatting, and images. This is time-consuming and can be overwhelming for users.
Image Optimization Issues: The platform does not automatically optimize image sizes, leading to performance issues and requiring manual resizing.
Technical Problems with URLs: Canonical URL settings and blog URLs are cumbersome to manage, which creates unnecessary complications for SEO.
Clunky Design: The blog site’s design is not intuitive, making it less appealing and harder to use for both content creators and visitors.
Inefficient Workflow: The overall experience feels outdated, requiring multiple technical adjustments that could be streamlined.
Suggested Solution: A Simplified Blog Page
Instead of the current setup, consider developing a streamlined and simple blog page that integrates seamlessly into the website. Here’s the proposed concept:
Single Page Blog Interface:
Create a single page within the website where all blog posts are listed in a clean, visually appealing format.
Each blog post can have a minimal design, focusing on readability and simplicity.
Simplified Blog Posting Workflow:
Add a user-friendly editor with basic SEO settings (title, meta description, and tags) on the same screen.
Automatically optimize images for web performance upon upload.
Include a preview feature to check formatting before publishing.
Automated URL Management:
Generate canonical URLs automatically based on the blog title.
Provide users the ability to edit URLs if needed, but default to a structured and SEO-friendly format.
Integrated Features:
Enable simple categorization and tagging for better content organization.
Add a built-in social sharing option to promote blogs easily.
SEO-Ready by Default:
Pre-configure SEO settings so users don’t have to worry about manual adjustments.
Integrate automated schema markup for blogs to enhance search engine visibility.
Mobile-Optimized Design:
Ensure the blog page and posts are fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices.
Performance-Driven:
Focus on lightweight design to ensure faster loading times and better performance.
Why This Change Is Needed
A streamlined blog feature aligns better with user expectations in today’s fast-paced digital landscape. The simpler approach will:
Save time for users.
Enhance the overall user experience.
Improve SEO with automated processes.
Provide a more modern, intuitive platform for content creation.
Let’s make the blog feature more accessible, efficient, and valuable for GHL users.

I find the blog site both unfriendly for both the creator and the reader - it's not graceful or attractive, to the point where I am looking at other blogging options. If you can fix this, it would make a huge difference in the versatility of GHL.
