Workflow Trigger Integration inside Voice AI Actions
Currently, in Voice AI actions we have options such as Call Transfer, Trigger Workflow, Send SMS, Update Contact Field, Appointment Booking, and Custom Actions.
However, it would be extremely powerful if Voice AI could directly integrate with Agent Studio workflows and read output parameters from those workflows.
Proposed Improvement:
Allow Voice AI to trigge Ramakrishna r a workflow and receive structured output data from that workflow, which can then be used by the Voice AI agent in the conversation.
For example:
• Voice AI triggers a workflow
• The workflow performs API calls or automation logic
• The workflow returns output data
• Voice AI reads those output parameters and continues the conversation based on that data
This would open many possibilities such as:
• Dynamic responses based on workflow results
• Real-time API data during calls
• CRM data lookups
• Complex automations without external tools
Currently, many developers rely on external automation platforms like n8n for this type of orchestration. If Agent Studio and Voice AI could handle this natively, it would significantly simplify architecture and keep everything inside GoHighLevel.
This feature would make Voice AI much more powerful and enable advanced real-time automations during calls.
