Make Opportunity Custom Field Capabilities The Same As Contact Capabilities

Currently the opportunity custom fields don't have the same capabilities as contact custom fields. Having the same capabilities would be huge for automations, reminders, etc. for specific opportunities.
For example: A real estate agent has an investor with multiple properties being sold.
- The selling price of the home would be different with each opportunity.
- The commission % to be used for payment to the agents would be different for each opportunity.
- Important deadlines for closing the sale would be different for each opportunity (ex. home inspection date, pest inspection date, etc.)
I cannot use a math function that auto-calculates the commission to be paid using opportunity fields.
I also can't sent reminders based on custom dates listed on the opportunity field or send information out to 3rd party people involved (ex. the other realtor) who's information is stored as an opportunity field given they are the agent for that one property and not all of the contacts properties.
THE RESOLUTION:
Allow custom opportunity fields the same autonomy custom contact fields have.
- Use in emails.
- Use in workflows as triggers and actions.
- Allow to use the math function with opportunity fields.
- etc...
This would eliminate the need for 3rd party integration apps being used for necessary opportunity updates.
