Better Link Between Opportunities / Products / Estimates & Contracts

I'm surprised at the lack of relationship between opportunities, products and estimates/contracts/invoices.
In the world of CRMs for sales pipeline management, an opportunity represents a potential deal. These are managed and progressed through stages of the pipeline. The opportunity is where the follow-up is tracked and the deal is worked. The opportunity should contain details of the products which are looking to be purchased (upfront and monthly values ideally), which builds a dynamic value for the opportunity.
Upon reaching the required stage of the pipeline, an opportunity should then be able to be easily converted into a linked estimate, contract or proposal.
Unless I'm missing something, it feels like these entities exist almost independently.
It would be really helpful to have this replicate the sales lifecycle.

Yes! I've been thinking about this since the D&C product launched!
We do technically send Estimates, Documents and Invoices to a Contact, but 95% of the time, the intention is to send them to the contact Opportunity.
The main reason the Opportunity structure makes more sense is because of custom fields. It doesn't make sense to use contact fields as opportunity fields, like we have to do today.
Would love to see a better structure and support for this.
Stuff like:
➕ Send Estimate, Documents and Contracts to Opportunity
➕ Switching between Contact workflows and Opportunity workflows so we can use opportunity values as intended and send emails with Opportunity Values.
➕ Adding "Send Estimate", "Send Document", etc, buttons in the opportunity and a history log like we have in Contact conversation.
➕ An Opportunity done right is a project before the sale/signed contract.

In our business we work off contracts, not estimates and there is currently no relationship between a contract and an opportunity. This is a real deal breaker for continuing with the platform. Please add contracts into payments in Opportunities!

YES please. I have single clients with dozens of individual opps. I would LOVE to be able to have these actually integrate with invoices.
Automation-wise this is a game-changer, I could have opp stages update seamlessly based on invoice statuses w/o weird work-arounds.
