Some not too distracting but visible brief pop ups celebrating wins. Competitions and timeframes. Massive customization is ideal.

Also gamifying memberships for course content would be choice.

The look, feel, and implementation of their scoring and notification system is awesome, feels like an actual game and makes someone want to continue and keep 'playing' when they're really just learning things. Something like this would be over the top best quality.
